THE EXCEL CLUBS OF COPPERAS COVE

EXCEL Clubs are part of The National Exchange Club network. They  are groups of students dedicated to improving their schools, communities and country through volunteerism. EXCEL Clubs serve their communities and develop valuable leadership and communication skills. Members learn and grow through community service projects, fundraising for charity, and working toward a common goal. Being a part of EXCEL allows members to make lasting friendships while also making a positive difference in the community, school and count

EXCEL clubs select their own projects based on the needs of the school, community concerns, and/ or skills that club members want to improve upon. The members – with the help of a school advisor and sponsoring Exchange Club member – lead the club, decide on how to serve their school and community, and get actively involved. Members typically share their time and talents to develop and execute projects, such as planning a child abuse prevention activity, organizing a school clean-up day, collecting food for the underpriveleged, setting up a grade school tutoring program, and adopting grandparents at a local nursing home.
